Banana-Coconut Cream Pie Shakeology

Here it is! The much anticipated Banana-Coconut Cream Pie Shakeology recipe that I mentioned on Instagram earlier today!!!

Banana-Coconut Cream Pie Shakeology

1/2 packet of Vanilla Shakeology
2 tbsp. Coconut Cream  instant Jell-O Pudding
8-10 oz. Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze
Frozen Banana (I used approx. 6 slices or half a banana frozen)
Ice

Blend all together and enjoy :)

*This is the first vanilla Shakeology recipe that I’ve tried and liked. All the other ones I’ve hated, so that must be saying something! I believe the missing ingredient for me was the instant pudding. I’m glad I didn’t give up trying to find one that I liked since Shakeology is so good for me and I love all the other flavors! Persistence paid off today!

Calling All Brides & Bridesmaids!!!

So my sister is looking to tie the knot in November of this year. While that’s still 10 months away, it’s almost time to start ordering the dreaded bridesmaid dress. About this time is where bridesmaids usually start groaning, because now we have to make sure that we can order a dress in an acceptable-to-us size where we don’t feel ridiculously large. Also, once ordered, we need to make sure that we stay around that size so that we fit into the darn thing for the wedding. That’s exhausting! On top of that, we all want to look our best for the big day.

Well, I have a solution. Since everyone wants to look healthy & fit on the big day (whether you’re a member of the bridal party or the bride herself), I’ve created a bridal boot camp for all to enjoy!

A bridal boot camp consists of the bride and her attendants. Each participant will be added into a private Facebook group where I will post daily assignments for the 21-30 days (days are custom-tailored to meet your needs and the # of days is decided upon by the bride) of the boot camp. Each participant will also receive a meal plan, a Beachbody workout of choice, and a Shakeology flavor of choice (recipes will be included!). I guarantee that the group will be fun and engaging, and you’ll be able to work out from home or together as a group- you decide! Also, you WILL see results at the end of boot camp! And the bonus is that your bride may be eligible to receive a discount OR receive her entry to bootcamp for FREE!

If this sounds like something you may be interested in, contact me ASAP to reserve your Boot Camp today. Also, feel free to share this post with any brides-to-be or bridesmaids that you may know!

Pineapple Dream

I was messing around with my Shakeology and stumbled upon an AMAZING recipe that I just had to share. One of my new flavor obsessions is Greenberry. I find the flavor to be very smooth and tropical and delicious. Also, I just want to say that I am not usually a fan of coconut water. For some reason, I do not really like the taste. However, I found a winner!!

I decided to blend this up and then nurse my daughter because it was time for her afternoon nap. She’s getting her daily dose of nutrition at the same time as me! Now that’s multi-tasking! I bet all of you other nursing mothers can relate. Sometimes, you just get very hungry and thirsty when you are nursing your baby. <----Fact

So...whether you are a nursing mother or not, I think you’ll find this recipe to be delicious! Comment below & let me know what you think of the recipe ;) Here it is...

Dedication

Hard work. Determination. Dedication.

What do these words mean to you??? I’ve been sitting up thinking about these words and how they have played a major role in my life. Since I was 14 years old, I have had a job; sometimes, I even had two or three! From pizza server to waitress to bank teller and teacher, I’ve run the gamut of odd jobs. I’ve worked in malls and offices, people’s homes and school buildings. My favorite place so far to work from has been my own home. However, this hasn’t been an easy transition for me. Those that know me know that I am actually a work-a-holic. I pour my heart and soul into my jobs and I dedicate all of my efforts into my work.

Why is this important?

I have changed my career path. I recently gave up my teaching job of 8 years- I hold a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in English- for a stay-at-home mom/Beachbody coach “position” which requires no degree but that from the school of life. Just as I put hard work, determination and dedication into my former career, so I will do for my new job. Because, you see...it’s not just a job for me. I have a PASSION for helping people and I cannot help but think this is where I’m supposed to be. I get the added bonus of staying home with my beautiful children, which I cannot complain about.

My coaches on my team know that I will dedicate myself to helping them succeed. My challengers know that I will fix my efforts on helping them achieve their goals and pushing them to go farther than they ever thought was possible. I have a dream to see everyone become successful in all that they ask or imagine. I also have a dream for myself and my team- we are going straight to the top! I know that with God all things are possible so...who is coming with me?!

You can’t!

Have you ever heard someone tell you something was impossible? Or, that you can’t do something? These are usually the people who are the “Negative Nancy’s” in your life. There will always be people like this in your life, people who cannot see the big picture. They don’t dream big because they don’t believe in themselves. Don’t let them stop YOU from achieving YOUR dreams because they couldn’t do it for themselves. You can do anything that you put your mind to doing!

I am a firm believer that ALL things are POSSIBLE with God! In the Bible it says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” - Philippians 4:13 Remember that and keep pushing for what you want to do in your life. I believe in you!

If you want something in life, GO GET IT!

I apply this principle to my life daily. This idea is why I was able to be successful with my transformation so far (isn’t it wonderful that people CAN change?!) and why I’m able to be a coach and help other people follow my lead. Are you ready to take the plunge with me and start something great?  BELIEVE that you have achieved it already, and it’s yours.

The Real ME ;)

Faith. Family. Mother. Wife. Daughter. Love. Confidence. Success. Driven. Passionate. Considerate. Compassionate. Friendly. Outgoing. Health. Fitness. Truth-seeker.
ME!

Who is that girl in the mirror? The REAL me! When I look in the mirror, I see someone that is confident and fun-loving. I see someone who loves to smile and looks on the bright side of things. Staying POSITIVE is something that is important to me. I also hold my faith and my family as two constants in my life and I LIVE for them daily.

The most important job I have is the job of being a mother. I am a mom of two little girls- Abigail (almost 4) and Sophia (almost 9 months) and I wouldn’t trade this life for anything in the world. I have been given the most amazing gift- I am now able to stay home and raise my little ones. After I had Abigail, I returned to my teaching job when she was 6 months old. I remember crying on the hour-long commute in to work because I knew that I would miss that little baby so much. (Also, I knew I’d be pumping throughout the day and I wasn’t looking forward to it!). Fast forward to having Sophia. 6 months came and went and I am STILL home with her!!! I have been so blessed because my husband now makes enough money (in addition to the commission I receive from coaching) to allow me to stay home and take care of my daughters. I LOVED my teaching job, but I LOVE staying home with my girls more. I never thought I could get enough of their smiles and laughter and now I don’t have to give that up for even a second of my day. It’s truly amazing. (Have I gushed and bragged enough yet??). Here’s a picture of my angels:

The second most important job is my job as an independent Beachbody coach. I love working with people and helping them achieve their health and fitness goals. I recently received some amazing feedback from my challengers- real results are happening and I cannot wait to share later in the month what’s been going on in my challenge groups. Lives are changing and I feel so honored to be a part of the transformation!

Aside from coaching my challengers, I like to help people with their eating habits. Taking someone that has an unhealthy eating style and turning them into someone that reads food labels, knows what’s nutritious, and knows how to shop successfully and healthy is a passion of mine. I like to share my tips, recipes, & meal plans on a regular basis. This is not only part of my job, but something I enjoy! (It probably has something to do with the fact that I was a full-time middle school teacher for 8 years. Teaching is my passion and always will be- no matter what the age group of my students are or what the subject is!)

Shakeology recipe--->

I started my transformation journey in mid-July of 2013. I was 6 weeks post-partum with my second daughter. Lost. Not sure how to lose the weight (since I was always told it would be harder after the second child)...

...Then I found Beachbody and my coach and that was the beginning of my story. I never looked back. I committed to a challenge group. Committed to changing my bad habits. And once I was done, I recommitted again!

Since I had so much success, I decided that I wanted to become a coach and help people change their lives too. I wanted others to experience what I experience when I achieved my goals. I hit my goal weight, but now I’m on a mission to gain some muscles. I will be posting my progress here, so watch out world! Progress pics & updates to come!! I’ve finished T25 Alpha/Beta & Gamma and I’m on on ChaLean Extreme Push Circuit (finished with Burn Circuit) and I have BIG plans for P90X3 when I’m done. I have made fitness and clean eating my lifestyle and I’d love to help you do the same.

Won’t you join me?
